So a soft landing... The first destination.

One of my young mentors (from Indy whom I've not yet met in person) has helped to facilitate this opportunity at a yoga retreat center where the founder was instrumental in bringing yoga to Australia over 50 years ago....

Stay tuned as I explore my way around Sydney, Swami's and more of Australia! I've heard I may not want to leave.

My next destination was volunteering on an organic flower farm helping the owner to pick for a wedding outside of Wellington.

From there I explored the north island a bit as I headed to Auckland and volunteered at an Eco-Hostel that also has a fruit farm.

This cultural exchange found me living with a Sri Lankan family on their coconut farm complete with water buffalo they milked to make buffalo mozzarella over an open flame. They also included me in a Buddhist wedding. Tooo beautiful!

A woman I met when I was in Sydney, Australia hosted a yoga/surf retreat in Welligama. WOOOO HOOOOOO!!

I sold fruit and taught yoga at the ashram after meditating and doing yoga twice a day. It was really H O T............. also very mind expanding.............

Pahoa is home to a community of international buskers and nudist beaches. This was just a pure fun stay!

This was a mom's dream come true! My eldest graduated from Indiana University and both daughters and I traveled to Buenos Aires after the celebration. We traveled to see one of the largest waterfalls in the world -Iguazu and explored Buenos Aires.

My eldest returned to the states and my youngest and I carried on exploring. We volunteered at various hostels across the country while exploring beautiful Argentina.

My daughter and I met up in Quito (where we were robbed under the pretense of the oldest trick in the book). From there we were wowed by the diversity of the Galapagos and then volunteered at an expat guest house on the beach in Manta. We lived the beach life and then headed into the mountains to Banos to volunteer at yet another hostel and take in the extreme sports of the mountains. Cuenca found us volunteering with yet more new friends and learning to love the city with 4 rivers!

Zambia was quite a dry contrast to South America. The family I stayed with took me to a lepper colony they had supported for over 20 years and a bush school they started. Amazing...

Livingstone, Victoria Falls and all the animals viewed in Chobe National Park were...... indescribable! 

Cape Town was truly one of the most beautiful cities I had ever visited. It was also the most confounding.... Apartheid has left some pretty ugly tentacles... I volunteered at a craft cafe that hired people with disabilities, and I was made a better person as a result. My bod put me in a full stop, so a few adjustments were made....

I booked ended the year by again teaching yoga - in paradise! I came to physically heal, and couldn't have picked a more beautiful place... Pinch me!
